Dr. Galanakis is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). Dr. Galanakis also serves as the director of the vascular laboratory at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Dr. Galanakis received his medical degree from the University of Athens Medical School in Athens, Greece. He completed his residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C., where he also served as chief resident in internal medicine. Dr. Galanakis completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Lankenau Hospital at Thomas Jefferson University in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
