In fact, the Journal of Nutrition found oatmeal lovers consume 81% more fiber than those who skip breakfast or eat less-filling options.

Parfaits. If you’re more into sweet than savory, consider whipping up Greek yogurt parfaits with layers of fresh fruits, crunchy granola or nuts. Greek yogurt is high in protein, with up to 23 grams per serving, making it a great option for those looking to increase their protein intake and aid in weight loss. It also contains beneficial probiotics that support a healthy gut, while the fruit gives you a dose of vitamins and antioxidants and a burst of natural sweetness.

Smoothies. Studies suggest smoothies may increase your consumption of fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, boosting your intake of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Ingredients like these can help reduce inflammation, improve digestion and lower risks of heart disease, obesity and mental decline. In addition, most citrus fruits contain vitamin C, and who couldn’t use a winter immunity boost?
